Water Plant Electrical Upgrades

This project consists of the replacement of the power and control wiring and other electrical equipment at the Butler County Water Treatment Plant. This project will allow Butler Water to continue to provide the high level of reliability its customers have come to expect. In addition, a standby power generator will be installed so that in the event of an extended power outage, the water plant will remain in service.

Design services for this project are being provided by HDR, Inc. of Louisville, KY. It is expected that design will be complete during autumn 2008, with construction to follow. Funding for this project will be provided by a grant awarded during the 2006 and 2008 sessions of the General Assembly. Therefore, the project will have no effect on customer rates.
